Delegates from the 52 motor clubs in all parts of New Zealand attended the annual conference of the Association of New Zealand Car Clubs in Christchurch at the weekend. The Minister of Transport (Mr Mathison) attended on Saturday afternoon. Dates of meetings for the coming season were approved as follows: Racing Events.—New Zealand Grand Prix, January 9; Levin Motor Racing Club, January 16; Motor Racing Club (Wigram), January 23; Dunedin Festival Road Race, January 30; Southland Sports Car Club, February 6; South Canterbury Car Club (Waimate), February 13; Manawatu Car Club, February 28. Hillclimbs.—Hawke’s Bar Car Club, October 17; Canterbury Car Club, November; Northern Sports Car Club, December 13; Otago -Sports Car Club, February 26; Eastern Southland Car Club, March 5; South Canterbury Car Club, March 6; Wellington Car Club, March 19; Steering Wheel Club, April. Trials.—Hawke's Bay Car Club, September 12- Manawatu Car Club. October 23-25; Marlborough Car Club, October 10-11; Taranaki and South Taranaki Car Clubs, May 7-8; Northern Sports Car Club, May 2829; Northern Wairoa Car Club, June 6; Otago Sports Car Club, June 6; Canterbury Car Club, June-July; Auckland Car Club, July 23-24.
