GOOD CHOU CROP
An outstanding crop of chou moellier rising about 7ft high has been grown by a Fairlie farmer, Mr D. Stanley, whose property lies within a mile of Fairlie post office. The crop was grown on country that was first ploughed out of swamp and sown last November. Describing its feeding by sheep Mr Stanley said it was “a most spectacular sight.” With front legs on each side of the stalks the sheep pushed the crop over feeding as they progressed.
