Lord Picked For Flemington
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Aug. 21. ( Victorias champion short-distance galloper, Lord, .is picked to win the J. J. Liston Stakes, first weight-for-age of the season, at Flemington tomorrow. The New Zealand-bred Lord has won four of his last five races. His last win was in the All Aged Stakes at Randwick in April. Two other New Zealand-bred horses Prince Lea and Gay Saba, may be hardest for Lord to beat i tomorrow Gay Saba has not had a run since < April, but he is almost in his best i form. He has been working well at ' Mentone, and usually goes well when fresh.
