MID CANTERBURY DOG SALE
Values From £8 To £BO In Large Entry About 150 dogs among which were entries from Canterbury’s best dog breeders, were offered at Pyne, Gould, Guinness's third annual sheepdog sale held at the Tinwald saleyards. For the most part the sale was brisk, especially with well-bred animals, but it was not as good as last year's. Prices ranged from £7O to £BO for the best dogs on the market, while dogs with little breeding brought as little as £8 or £lO each. One excellent sheepdog owned by Mr R M. Wilson, of Kirwee, was passed in for £145 Purchasers were given the opportunity of ouying on performance. Each dog was given a trial and sold entirely on its merits.
