Investments with the Totalisator Agency Board on the three race meetings on Saturday were £330,400 10s. The total was made up of win and place bets amounting to £166,847 and £163,553 10s was invested on doubles. There was a drop of £21.538 10s on the figure for the corresponding day last year. Details of the turnovers at individual meetings on Saturday were as follows: FRANKLIN On-course: £87.563; up £23,241 10s. Off-course: £103,450 15s; down £20,820. HAWES BAY On-course: £37,325 10s; down £8854 10s. Off-course: £56.450 15s; down £20,820. RICCARTON On-course: £146,288 10s; down £26,974. Off-course: £170,499; up £9558 10s. Off - course substitutes on Saturday were:— Franklin: John Peel. Hawke’s Bay: Terrore Rosso. Riccarton: Switzerland.
