TRAINING OF BALFAST
Report Mystifies Webster IfN.Z. Press Association —Copyright/ SYDNEY, July 27. The New Zealand trainer. A. D Webster, said today he was "completely mystified” by a report that the New Zealand stayer, Balfast, i would be transferred from his I stables. It was reported yesterday that Balfast would be switched to another trainer, probably C. Papworth. at Rosehill. "I know nothing about losing Balfast ' Webster said today "I have been instructed by the owners, who are in New Zealand, to give the : gelding a let-up for three weeks" Papworth said today he had heard rumours that he was tn fake over ■ Balfast. "But I've heard pothin-’ .directly from the owne-s. and will ’wait and see what happens." | Belfast finished brilliantly to beat Cavhros in a photo finish, and as a result hecamo co-favour’te with another New Zealand horse.
