SACRAMENTO TEACHERS
Group Entertained In City Nineteen Californians on a study tour of the Pacific were entertained by members of the North American Club in Christchurch last evening. The group includes teachers and education administrators from Sacramento and surrounding towns and cities. All are studying natural science on a summer extension course organised by the Sacramento State College. The associate-Professor of Life Sciences, Dr. Martin R. Britten, leads the group. The consensus among students of all ages in the group is that their form of travelling is ideal. There are opportunities to meet many people both at official gatherings and lectures and through private contacts. While travelling the students learn much from each other since all are working on special topics in addition to general study. The Americans enjoyed varied entertainment last evening Groups visited 11 different homes in the city where some saw films and others met members of ,the Education Department and American Field Scholarship students.
