Summer Season (Field and Base Staff): Married £350 p.a.; Single, £2OO p.a. The allowances are subject to taxation and Social Security Charges. Oceanographic Parties; Whilst on working cruises, 4s 6d per day plus overtime at £2 per day. if overtime for cruise averages not less than 4J hours per day. 6. Appointees will be quartered fed. and outfitted with special Antractic clothing at Government expense. To assist in the purchase of personal clothing, an allowance of £3O for wintering over personnel and £lO for summer season staff Is paid. 7. The stated duration of appointment includes a pre-train-ing and preparation period, during which the salary on appointment will be paid. 8.
