DISMISSAL OF CHARGE
After the running of the Levels Hack Handicap at Washdyke on Saturday, B. J. Anderton, the rider ef Glare, was charged with causing interference to Robin Hood, ridden by W. Hanlin, in the straight. Alter hearing the evidence of the stipendiary steward, Mr H. B. Longan, W. D. Skelton, the rider of Mastei Ascot, Hanlin. and Anderton, the committee decided to dismiss the charge. In the Claremont Handicap. Appreciate, ridden by W. D. Skelton, galloped on the heels of another runner near the seven furlongs. Skelton said his mount was pulling hard and he could not avoid the incident. Giaewyn was pulled up inside the first two furlongs of the Kennels Handicap after drifting to the rear from the start. ' Graewyn was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon, who found that she had pulled her lumbar muscles. Graewyn was in great pain, it was reported.
