ISLANDS VESSEL’S OVERHAUL
Tofua Back In Service In September (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. The overhaul of the 5299-ton Union Steam , Ship Company's Tofua, at present under survey at Auckland, will take much longer than was anticipated by the company. The vessel is now due to return to service on September The Pacific Islands schedule will be maintained by the Matua, assisted by the new islands vessel, Tarawera, carrying fruit and general cargo. The Tofua was damaged by a hurricane while lying in Nukualofa harbour.
