Skaters at Lake Ida.— Children were treated to sledge rides at Lake Ida yesterday. A small car with chained wheels drew the sledge over the Bin thick ice in fine weather. Gusty westerly winds sprang up in the afternoon, to the benefit of experienced skaters but discomfort of the inexperienced. Several beginners were treated by the first aid attendants after falls.
