Killed By Beer Keg Explosion
SYDNEY, July 19. A Sydney man whose skull was pierced by an eight-inch spanner when a beer keg exploded, died yesterday after an 18-hour fight to save him. The man, Thomas Brown, aged 62, of Ketnbla Heights, was a trustee of the Kembla Heights Bowling Club, where the accident occurred. Police said a steward noticed that the pressure on a wooden nine-gallon keg was too high. He asked Brown, who was in the bar, to help him ease it, and as he bent over to do so, the keg burst
