Child Killed In Bus Smash
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) ARCADIA (California), July 15. A bus which police said was carrying 99 persons, mostly children on a mountain outing, went out of control yesterday, crashed Into three cars and overturned. A small girl in one of the cars was killed. More than 20 children were taken to hospital. All but one child suffering a wrist fracture were released. A highway patrolman said the vehicle’s brakes failed on a steep grade as the bus approached Arcadia, a Los Angeles suburb.
