The Auckland district council of the Federation of Labour has decided to ask the national executive to advise the International Labour Office and the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions not to regard the policy of racial discrimination adopted by the New Zealand Rugby Union as representative of the New Zealand trade union movement. The two international bodies are repreeentative of more than 55 million trade union members in the free Wot id. The motion deplored the Rugby Union's decision to "exclude some New Zealanders because of colour from the New Zealand side to tour South Africa.”
