TWO PACERS SOLD
Conquistador And Hideaway idea way and Conquistador have been sold by their Ashburton breeder, Mr A. J. Nicoll. Hideaway is to do her future racing in lasmania, while Conquistador is to be trained at Inchbonnie by P. K. Ryder. Hideaway, a rising five-year-old mare by Light Brigade from Tara's Hall, showed sound form this season with one win and 10 placings from 18 starts. Luck was against her in several ol her races or her record would have been much better. She is a grand type for Australian conditions as she usually begins brilliantly. Conquistador, a rising six-year-old hall-biother by U. Scott to Hideaway, failed to win a race this season, but he was twice fourth from 10 starts. Question, a brother to Conquistador. was part-owned and trained by Ryder, who won one race and gained a number of placings with him this season. Unfortunately Question met with an accident on his way home from the Nelson meeting last month and he had to be destroyed.
