COMMERCIAL Australian Shares Weaker At Close
Business was quieter on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday and Australian shares tended to weaken. Clyde Industries, Cox Bros., Colonial Sugar and Waltons changed hands at lower prices. N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative B preference, Ballins Breweries, Mosgiel Woollen, Timaru Woollen, old and new, and Dunlop N.Z. sold at higher prices. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile rights had first local dealings, changing hands at 2s.
