Centenary Of Chamber Of Commerce
The centennial flag which was raised to the masthead of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce earlier this year at the start of the Chamber’s centennial celebrations will be lowered at an official ceremony at 10.30 a m. on August 23. The official function will mark the actual date of the Chamber’s centenary. Commemorative thanksgiving services tor members and their families will be held in the Christchurch Cathedral and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament after the - flag-lowering ceremony. A cocktail party for members and their wives will be held on August 19. i
