Mr E. W. Wright, senior scientific officer at the Department of Agriculture’s Wallaceville animal research station, has been selected by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency to attend a course in radio-isotope techniques in agricultural research at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Mr Wright will leave New Zealand next week.—(P.A.)
Mr John Kiminik, of the Statistics Department, who has been attending a course in economic planning and national accounting at the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague, has a diploma, ih economic planning and national accounting with credit. Mr Kiminik is in charge of the economics branch of the department. —(P.A.)
The Rev. T. G. Campbell, Professor H. E. Field, the Rev. Father T. J. Cahill, the Rev. W. E. Falkingham, the Rev. K. L. Wairen, and the Rev. H. S. Manson, all of Christchurch, have been reappointed honorary child welfare officers.
