Police Disperse African Women
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) DURBAN, June 23. Police dispersed a crowd of about 500 African women who gathered outside the Durban Magistrate’s Court this morning while 51 natives, arrested las' Friday, appeared in Court in connexion with the disturbances. Fifty-one native women who had been remanded since last Saturday were released on bail. When they were released, the native women started dancing and leading a large mob of women.
Police drove them in the direction of Cato Manor, which was one of the trouble areas last week. ‘
