ADMISSION TO RACECOURSE
A resolution dealing with regulations controlling the admission of persons to the racecourse was passed at a special general meeting of the Canterbury - Jockey Club yesterday. The regulations related to the exclusion of undesirable persons from the racecourse. The club had previously similar regulations but. as a result of a recent Court decision and also because those regulations needed to be brought up to date to comply with present-day requirements, it was considered that new regulations should be passed. These will be substantially the same as the old regulations but with amendments recommended by the solicitor of the New Zealand Racing Conference to bring the amendments into line with modern legislation.
