Some Easing In Lamb
First and second quality Canterbury lamb under 361 b eased on Smithfield market last week, but there was no change in first quality weights from 371 b to 501 b. Crossbred wether and maiden ewes from 571 b to 721 b firmed. Ewes at all weights were steady on prices ruling the week before. The Imported Meat Trade Association’s quotations for New Zealand meat (ex hooks, Smithfield) in the week ended June 19 with the variation since the previous week, were as follows:
