REGENERATION OF PINE FORESTS
Discussion At Rotorua Conference
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, June 23.
Foresters, silviculturists, fire control and logging officers are taking paj’t in a three-day conference at Rotorua to discuss the regeneration of radiata pine in State Forests. Tomorrow there will be a field day at'Kaingaroa and the conference will conclude on Thursday. Every year 3000 to 4000 acres of radiata forest are cut and the conference is discussing various aspects of regenerating these areas.
