NURSE MAUDE APPEAL

Street Day On Friday

The annual street appeal of the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association will be held in Christchurch and its suburbs on Friday. Collectors will be on the streets j from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A cake and produce stall will; also be conducted in Cathedral square, staffed by voluntary j workers for the association. The Nurse Maude Association is a local group, unique in the world. Its nursing and welfare services are available to all persons in need—whether they be rich or poor, and irrespective of colour or creed. The association conducts district nursing services, home aid services, a laundry service for the sick and disabled, and runs two convalescent hospitals. Last year, the association’s workers made 47,500 nursing visits, and cared for more than; 500 patients in its two hospitals.!
