NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES Pursuant to tlie provisions of the Rating Act, 1925, the Counties Act, 1956, the amendments thereto, PUBLie NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheviot County Council, at a meeting to be held at 10 a.m. on Friday. July 10. 1959, proposes to make and levy the following general rate and sanitation charge:— 1. A General rate of two point four two seven pence (2.427 d In the pound (£ I on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable properties appearing on the valuation rolls of the Cheviot County, 2. A uniform sanitation charge of £7 16s per pan per year on the properties within the Cheviot Township special rating area receiving the sanitation service. The above mentioned rates and sanitation charges are to be for the period from April 1, 1959, until March 31, 1960, and are to become due and payable in one sum at the County office, Cheviot, on August 12, 1959, Such general rates only’ are to be subject to a rebate of five per centum (5%) if paid in full within one month of due date, that is by September 11, 1959. NOVIS, County Clerk. 5651 r CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL LAYING OFF OF A STREET BEING THE CONTINUATION OF HALBERG STREET IT IS HEREBY Publicly Notified that the following resolution was adopted at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Council held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, at 8.15 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 1959: "In pursuance of the powers vested in it by Section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of special order to permit the laying off of a street being the continuation of Halberg street at a width for all of its length of 50 feet through Lot 7 , DP. 3421 and Part Lot 7, D.P. 3421 and Part Lot part of the land contained in Certificates of Title Volume 276 Folio 113 and Volume 427 Folio 199 Canterbury Registry, subject to the condition that no part of any building shall stand within 15 feet of the side lines of the street.” It is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber situated as aforesaid at 8 p.m. on Monday.
