SIR LESLIE MUNRO
Talks With Mr Holyoake
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 19.
New Zealand’s former Ambassador to the United States, Sir Leslie Munro, will have talks with the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) in Wellington on Tuesday. The National Party caucus will meet the same day. Asked today about his meeting with Sir Leslie Munro, Mr Holyoake replied: “I have many visitors. Sir Leslie Munro will be one I will be particularly pleased to welcome.”
It is understood no appointment has yet been made for Sir Leslie Munro to see the Prime Minister (Mr Nash), But it is expected Sir Leslie Munro will call on him during his visit to Wellington.
Mr Nash said earlier this week that he would be “very pleased to see Sir Leslie Munro at any time.”
