Trial Shipments Of Butter And Mutton

New Zealand overseas shipping lines are showing enthusiasm in their efforts to assist in the opening up of new markets for New Zealand produce. The Shaw Savill Line’s Karamea, last January, took a cargo of New Zealand milk powder and butter to Peru on her outwardbound voyage to the United Kingdom. The vessel is again on the New Zealand coast and the master. Captain R. A. Barns, when in Wellington recently, expressed optimism for the future development of trade between Peru and the Dominion.

Captain Bams said that Peru was now to have a trial shipment of 400 tons of mutton and he was confident it would find a ready market.
