HOLMBURN FIRE INQUIRY

As Mr A. P. Blair. S.M., is not available the Minister of Marine (Mr Fox) has appointed Mr A. C. Perry, a Christchurch barrister and solicitor, as chairman of the inquiry into the cause of the Are on the Holm Shipping Company’s motor vessel Holmburn at Lyttelton on May 7. The inquiry will begin on Tuesday in the Provincial Council Chambers and is expected to last a week. The assessors will be Captain D. N. McLeish (retired master mariner, of Wellington), Mr A. M. Taylor (Naval Architect, Wellington) and Mr T. A. Varley (chief fire officer of the Fire Service* Council, Wellington),
