HEALTH WARNING TO PILOTS
(New Zealana Press Association) WANGANUI, May 27.
Health hazards involved in aerial topdressing and spraying were emphasised in Wanganui today as the national agricultural aviation symposium entered its third day. “In the case of the organicphosphorous compounds, you are dealing with chemicals which are direct descendants of one of Hitler’s nastier secret weapons.” Flying Officer J. G. Hall told the meeting in his paper on toxicology and health hazards in aerial spraying.
Dr. Hall warned piltos to stop flying for a while if they began to feel slightly unwell while using these chemicals.
