Estuary Bridge

Sir,—As a constant visitor to New Brighton and Sumner I often wonder why the residents of both the seaside resorts have not got busy and agitated for a bridge across the estuary. It would be of great benefit to both townships anu make a very pleasant round trip for private motorists and observation buses. The writer is informed that it would not be a very difficult job as there are no big seas or tides to contend with and , only a short span over deep water. —Yours, etc., ADVANCE. May 26, 1959.
