Iceland Protest To Britain
LONDON, Msy 26. Iceland had protested to Britain about an incident in which an Iceland gunboat alleged it bad been rammed by a British destroyer off Iceland last week, a Foreign Office spokesman said in London today. The Admiralty confirmed that there had been an "Incident” between the Iceland eoast guard vessel Odtnn and the British destroyer Chaplet, but said it appeared to have been “an error of seamanship rather than anything It said the two ships, in close company, approached the trawler.
