NEW UNIFORM FOR BRITISH NURSES.—This new indoor uniform for nurses has been recommended to the British Minister of Health by a special committee. It is a coat-frock style with gored skirt, and detachable collars and cuffs. The cap is of simple design, and lies flat when opened out. The apron, a hygienic necessity, should be worn only “on duty,” and be of the “bib” pattern, secured to the dress by buttons or studs to avoid damage by pins. On the left a sister is wearing the new dress, and on the right she is wearing it with the apron buttoned on, instead of being attached with long “strings" and pins.
