Government Works Loan
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 17. The Minister of Finance (Mr Nordmeyer) announced on Friday that advance subscriptions to the Government’s £l5 million works loan had brought total contributions to the loan to date to £2,210.000. "In view of the fact that the loan only opened this week,” said Mr Nordmeyer, "this can be regarded as a very satisfactory start and I hope it will set the pace for the rest of the campaign during the next four weeks.”
