Grivas Writing His Memoirs
(From a Reuter Correspondent) ATHENS. General George Grivas, former leader of the Cypriot underground organisation Eoka, has retreated to an Athens suburb to write his memoirs. They will serve as the basis for a film on the Greek Cypriots’ armed resistance against British rule in the island. A statement from the Athens office of General Grivas said the memoirs and the film will present ‘‘an authentic and complete picture of the four-year Eoka struggle in Cyprus.” He will devote the proceeds to victims of the Cyprus struggle and to injured fighters of Eoka.
