ZANY PICKED TO WIN
Auckland Club’s Final Day “The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, May 15. Zany, which finished fast from towards the rear for second to Teremoana last week, should gain a wellearned win in the May Handicap on the final day of the Auckland Trotting Club’s winter meeting tomorrow. Zany has been a model of consistency this season and she looks set for another win. Ponty and Caricature are others to have shown sound form this season, and they may offer most opposition .to the Prebbleton mare. The double will be run on the C. F. Mark Memorial Handicap and the Suburban Handicap, Teremoana and General Advance forming a likely combination. The forecast is for showery weather and the track will be heavy. Selections: 11.15 a.m.—Royal Handicap: Dan’s Cobber, Welwln, Marauder. 11.55 a.m.—Liverpool Handicap: Gold Castle, Predict, Te Atapo. 12.31 p.m.—May Handicap: Zany.
