Trade Affected By Weather (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON,'May 15. Hot weather adversely affected trade at Smithfield this week, according to the market information service of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. A fair demand for New Zealand lambs was maintained at firm prices, the service adds. Quotations for New Zealand lamb were;—Prime: 281 b and under, 22d to 22£d: 291 b to 361 b, 21. id; 37 to 421 b, 20£d to 21d; 43 to 501 b, 19 2 d to 20d. Seconds: 20 to 20id. There was a better inquiry for light offerings of New Zealand wether at 10id to 14d per lb. Trade in ewes was dull. Heavy supplies of chilled beef on Monday and Tuesday met a depressed market, but reduced pitchings later steadied prices.
