COMMERCIAL Sharp Rise In Felt And Textiles
Felt and Textiles, Australia, rose sharply in business in Christchurch yesterday to sell at 28s 7d. Quotations have firmed since last week’s Christchurch business at 27s 6d and 27s 7d, and buyers here were ottering 28s on Thursday when a sale was made in Invercargill at 27s 6d. New Zealand Packing, last sold locally at 22s 9d, had business yesterday at 245. Thursday’s business in other centres was written at 23s lOd. Ampol rights, B.H.P. rights and Forest Products were also taken higher. New Zealand Insurance, in cum dividend business at 70s 6d, were again easier.
