Soviet Warning To Greece
•Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. May 14 The Russian Government has warned Greece that if she agreed to have United States atomic and rocket bases on her territory Russia would consider it a ‘‘hostile action,” Moscow Radio reported last night. The radio said an aide-memoire to this effect was handed over yesterday to the Greek Ambassador in Moscow. The aide-memoire said Greek agreement would gravely impair Soviet-Greek relations. The Greek Ministry of National Defence last month confirmed that the United States was supplying Greece with Honest John and Nike guided missiles but Greece had so far assumed no obligation concerning the setting up of missile bases.
