TINWALD STOCK SALE
Prices for fat wethers were again back on a medium yarding of fat sheep at the Tinwald stock sale held on Tuesday. Fat ewes and fat lambs maintained last week’s rates. The range of prices was:— Fat wethers: prime, 49s Id to 52s Id; medium, 45s Id to 48s Id; light, to 435. Fat ewes: prime, 22s Id to 26s Id; medium, 18s Id to 21s Id; light, 15s Id to 17s Id. Maiden ewes: 37s Id to 42s Id. Fat lambs, to 56s Id. The store sheep entry was well down on last week, and store lambs sold at similar rates with the best making a few shillings more. Prices were:— Forward store wether lambs, 25s to 345; mediums, 20s to 255; small, 15s to -20 s. Entries in the adult sheep section were also small, one line of Romney two-tooth ewes mated Romney rams, making up to 58s. The best of the old ewe* meted Soutfidown-Border ram*. March 25, made 29* 6d.
