HOTEL SAFE RECOVERED
£6OO Missing A safe stolen from the Lyttelton Hotel, Norwich quay, Lyttelton, in the early morning of December 8, 1958, was recovered on Tuesday evening behind some flax bushes off the Allenton road. Diamond harbour, by Mr J. Wilson, a grader driver working on the reclamation of the Purau road. It was believed to have contained £6OO when stolen but all that remained it in were a few personal papers belonging to the (hotel proprietor (Mr R. Miller). The lock had been forced. The safe does not appear to have been out in the weather for long.
