NEW HIGH JUMP RECORD.—At the same meeting which five years ago produced the first four-minute mile, Oxford University v. the Amateur Athletic Association, G. A. Miller, aged 19, of the Hermes Club set a new English native record recently in winning the high jump at 6ft 71in. The A.A.A. won the match by 102 points to 78.
