Exhibition Gallop By Tulloch

Randwick racegoers could see a brilliant performance from the New Zealand-bred champion galloper, Tulloch, tomorrow in his second appearance since he recovered from a severe intestinal complaint. Tulloch is to gallop an exhibition half-mile, probably alone, though it is Intended also to gallop the Golden Slipper Stakes winner. Fine and Dandy. It is just more than a year since Tulloch had his last race. He is to make a comeback at the Queensland winter carnival in Brisbane.
Bali Ha’i’s Poor

LONDON, May 8. Racing commentators were not very impressed by the Queen Mother’s New, Zealand horse, Bali Ha’i, which ran at Chester on May 7.
"He Is a fine-looking animal,” says the “Daily Telegraph.” “But that, for the time being, is all that can be said for him. He was under pressure five furlongs from home and made no progress whatsoever.” The “Daily Mail” says the horse was not impressive. Others went too fast for him in the first halfmile.
The “Daily Mirror” says that Bali Ha’i was unsuited to the track. “But there is no doubt this six-year-old wiU soon win a race or two for the Queen Mother.”
Disqualification Term Decreased (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 8. The trainer, R. N. Jennings, whose term of disqualification for five years was due to expire on July 20, has had the balance of the term remitted by the Waikato District Committee. The remission dates from Thursday
Jennings was found guilty at an inquiry at Tauranga on July 21, 1954, of having administered strychnine to the horse Freeland. Freeland dropped dead at the Tauranga racecourse on Monday, March 29, of that year. He had run second Tauranga Cup on the Saturday. P
