AMERICAN FIELD SERVICE AWARDS
Scholarships For 20 N.Z. Pupils
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. Twenty New Zealand secondary school pupils have been awarded American Field Service scholarships for this year. They will sail for the United States from Auckland on August 25 with American students returning home from New Zealand. The names are: Jon Bergham (Kaitaia College), James Craig (Mount Roskill Grammar), Jennifer Crompton (Auckland Diocesan High), Raewyn Frear (Huntly College), Patricia Laird (Takapuna Grammar), Bette Thompson (Kaitaia College), David Whiting (Avondale College), Susan Cotterill (Woodford House), Robin Crossley (Palmerston North Girls’ High), Cynthia Dowling (Craighead Diocesan), Ronald Frew (Ruapehu College), John Henderson (John McGlasham .College), Deidre Hood (Marlborough College), Pamela James (St. Dominic’s College), Jill Kirkup (New Plymouth Girls’ High), Patricia McKee (Sacred Heart, Wanganui), Helen Mounsey (Timaru Girls’ High), Naera Naumann (Tauranga Girls’ College), James Todd (Wanganui Collegiate School), Donald Young (Southland Boys’ ‘High).
