MRS JOSEPHINE PASTERNAK, sister (she married a cousin) of the famous Russian novelist, Boris Pasternak, looks at a painting by her equally-famous father in an exhibition of his work held in London recently. Boris Pasternak, whose novel, “Dr. Zhivago,” gained him the Nobel Prize for Literature last year, has amassed a fortune in royalties which is being held for him by the western publishers of his novels. Both Mrs Pasternak and another sister, who is also resident in Britain, have refused to accept the money on his behalf.
