BEN LEE SOLD TO SYDNEY
The New Brighton ownertrainer, H. Stafford, who is at present on a visit overseas, has sold Ben Lee to the Sydney trainer, W. Picken.
Ben Lee left Christchurch yesterday for Wellington where - he will be shipped to Sydney. Bert Lee. a five-year-old gelding by Protector from Dainty Dorrie, won two races last season. but he has failed to win this term.
He recorded three placings from 15 starts, but his form was well below that he showed 12 months ago.
