COMMERCIAL Sharp Rise In N.Z. Refrigerating

A parcel of New Zealand Refrigerating shares changed hands on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday at 33s 3d. Last business was done on April 30, at 32s 6d. More were wanted at 33s 3d, but sellers asked 33s 6d. Other shares in this section were very firm on quotation.

Felt and Textiles (Australia), B.H.P. and Colonial Sugar-also changed hands at higher prices. Woolworths slipped back to 16s.

The volume of business dropped sharply after Tuesday’s heavy trading.
