SUMMIT TALKS IN U.S.?

Visit By Khrushchev Expected (AZ. Press Association—Copy ng nt) ~~

(Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 6. Washington officials are talking seriously about the possibility of a United States visit this year by the Soviet Prime Minister, Mr Nikita Khrushchev, the “New York Times” reported today. A Soviet exposition is due to open in New York on June 30, said the newspaper’s chief Washington correspondent, James Reston. “While no-one in Washington is enthusiastic about inviting Mr Khrushchev to open the show, there is considerable official talk about what would happen if he indicated a desire to do so,” Reston said. “At the moment, the inclination is to say that he would be invited if he wished to do so,” Reston said.
