PRESENTATION TO MATRON
Burwood Hospital Function
The Medical Superintendent (Dr. J. H. Mclntyre) and the nursing staff of Burwood Hospital made a presentation recently to Miss J. Taylor who has been matron of the hospital for two years. Miss Taylor took up her appointment as matron of Cashmere Hospital on May 1. Dr. Mclntyre spoke of Miss Taylor's administrative ability and and her concern for the welfare of the individual nurse. An antique mirror and a hanging clock were given to Miss Taylor as a token of appreciation by the hospital.
The old people of three of the hospital wards also marked the occasion with presentations. Mesdames Burt and M. Brown and Mr J. Bennett made the presentation.
The 70 student nurses of the hospital held a social evening to bid farewell to Miss Taylor.
