Legislation To Be Introduced f N.Z. Press, Association—Copyright) (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, April 13. The Prime Minister (Mr Robert Menzies) will introduce legislation into the Federal Parliament tomorrow night to grant increases in pay and allowances for members and other recommendations made by the Richardson Committee. Mr Menzies is expected to make a detailed speech defending the Governments acceptance of most of the recommendations. The Federal Parliamentary Labour Party is to hold a special meeting tomorrow to decide its attitude to the salaries issue. The legislation will increase the salaries of members and Senators by £4OO a year to £1750 and their electoral allowances by £250 to a maximum of £lO5O.
