N.Z. Trade With Venezuela
(New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, February 17. Venezuela will be visited thia week by the New Zealand Trade Commissioner (Mr, E. J, . Sutch) from Trinidad, together with the chairman (Mr R. A. Candy) and export sales manager (Mr S. T. Murphy) of the New Zealand Dairy Products Marketing Commission.
The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Holloway) said today that this showed that New Zealand was awake to possibilities of trade with Venezuela, which had been advocated by private interests in Auckland. An experimental shipment of New Zealand apples was well received in Venezuela last year, said Mr Holloway, who hoped that this would be a forerunner of much bigger things.
