Import Licence Difficulty

The sewage treatment engineer to the Christchurch Drainage Board (Mr D. L. Steven) is. going to Auckland to tell the manufacturers of a type of spiral welded steel pipes why their product is not satisfactory for installation in the new treatment plant building. . In.. July last year, said the chairman of the construction committee (Mr R. C. Neville) last evening, Mr Steven, went to Wellington and the board made application for an import licence for pipes for the heating and ventilation of the treatment plant building.
